There was much fanfare and press coverage when Stirling Albion unveiled a trio of signings from the Indian Ocean island of La Reunion. Having forged links with former Celtic star Didier Agathe’s soccer academy on the sun kissed island the Beanos took delivery of three locals. Much excitement followed the press launch and hopes were high that the Albion had three young superstars on their hands. Sadly as we sit here on a snowy November day only one of the three remains on the books of Stirling Albion. Having struggled to make the squad, never mind the starting XI, it was no real surprise when Yohan Mathis and Jeremy Judith were released. Now Jérôme Heekeng is the last Reunion Islander standing and unlike the other two he has been a big hit and may go on to play at a higher level.
