Midfielder Jérôme Heekeng, the last of Stirling Albion’s three Reunion Islanders, has left the DDS. Club Spokesman Paul Goodwin explained: “Just last week the Executive offered Jérôme the option to extend his contract to give him more security. However, part time football in Scotland could not compete with what was available to him in France” It would seem that Jérôme has headed to the South of France to resume a lower league career in French football. This will allow him to concentrate once more on his medical studies as he resumes a career in nursing.
