For the first time in almost three months the Beanos were in action this afternoon in home league fare as table topping Raith Rovers came to town. The Kirkcaldy side have been extremely impressive this term and look set to challenge strongly for a place in the SPL. Interestingly their side doesn’t look dramatically different from the one that got promoted from the second division but the one or two newer players have clearly had a major impact. The likes of Grant Murray, Steven Simmons and a rejuvenated Gregory Tade have taken Rovers to a new level. At one point Tade  looked on his way out of Scottish football after being nothing more than a clumsy wing back for Forfar.
