Of Stirling Albion’s three wins two have come against the same team, namely Tuesday night’s visitors Partick Thistle. Perhaps fair to say that Stirling’s best performance of the season came in the 4-2 win over the Jags back in October. Since then the Glasgow side have dumped Stirling out of the Scottish Cup and were the side who ultimately cost John O’Neill his job as Albion manager. The 6-1 thrashing at Firhill in January was the last straw for the Albion Exec and led to a parting of the ways between club and coaching staff. Jocky Scott was appointed shortly afterwards and he will be looking for a big improvement from the showing on that miserable day in January. A match report will be on RedWeb by around 11pm on Tuesday evening.
Stirling Albion v Partick Thistle
Dunfermline v Stirling Albion

Despite the battling point on Tuesday night at the DDS, East End Park has not been a happy hunting ground for the Albion in recent years and the home side will be out to continue that trend for their visitors. Last times the teams met in Fife a 3-0 reverse did in hindsight signal the start of the decline which led to John O’Neill and Roddy Grant leaving the DDS. Stirling are of course desperate for points in what is looking to most like a lost cause to avoid an instant return to SFL2. A positive result for the Beanos on Saturday would not only be a great boost but in all likelihood it would also be a huge surprise ! However, where there is life there is hope. Mon the Beanos !! RedWeb will feature both [... more]
