A couple of fruitless trips to Fife sees Stirling entertain Falkirk wondering where the next point is coming from. After the high of the game against Partick it’s been two disappointing outings for John O’Neill’s men. It’s one thing losing to Dunfermline but the capitulation at Central Park was nothing short of humiliation. With suspensions and injuries hitting the small Albion squad hard it’s going to be a tough job for the manager to pick his troops up and get them believing in time for next weekend. A difficult match is in store but we’re at home and who knows, maybe Falkirk will have as bad a day next Saturday as we had at Cowdenbeath. A full match report from Saturday’s encounter will be on RedWeb later that evening.

However, it was time for the Albion to put an end to that trend and record their first home league win of the season. Team lines for the hosts saw two changes from the drawn game against Dundee. With the fantastic win at Starks Park seeming like a distant memory the Beanos finally got the chance to follow up on that performance with a match against crisis club Dundee. The Dens Park outfit have been all over the news in the last few days as the club finally went into administration. This is actually the second time in seven years that Dundee have been forced down the administration route and you have to hope that this time they learn their lessons. It’s clear from looking at the players signed over the last couple of years that Dundee have been spending beyond their means in a gamble to make it into the SPL. When this gamble backfired the financial consequences were almost inevitable. On Friday Dundee sacked 9 players in addition to the their management team and some back room staff. However, despite the carnage the first XI remained [... more]
