With just seven games to go in season 2011/12 the battle to avoid the relegation spots is in full flow. Team lines for Stirling showed three changes from the draw against the Warriors. Alan Cook and Steven Nicholas moved down to the bench while¬† Gavin Macpherson failed to make the match [… more]

After the win over local rivals Falkirk last weekend it was more cup action at Forthbank on Saturday as Forfar Athletic visited in the CIS League Cup. Unlike the Alba League Challenge, the CIS Cup has some good prize money and with the likes of Hearts and Aberdeen possible second round opponents a win today was vital for the club coffers. Confidence would have been high in the Stirling camp following the victory over the Bairns but today was set to be a different challenge against a team most would have expected John O’Neill’s side to beat. Team lines for this afternoon’s encounter saw just the two changes from last weekend. One was enforced as the suspended Ross Forsyth was replaced at left back by Stewart Devine. The other switch was by choice as Scott Robertson slipped to the bench to allow Derek Colquhoun to partner Michael Mullen as the [… more]
