Following last weekend’s excellent win over the much fancied East Fife the Beanos second league clash of the season took them down to Dumbarton. The midweek irrelevance at Livingston would have been quickly forgotten by Jocky Scott’s men as they returned to the much more important job of collecting league points. Dumbarton started the competitive season with a narrow win over East Stirling in the Ramsdens since when it’s been three successive defeats. In their league opener the Sons went down by three goals to nil on the plastic paradise that is Airdrie’s Excelsior pitch. Stirling too lost heavily in North Lanarkshire so nothing really for either manager to draw from those matches. With an all new squad to watch the Albion fans are still not sure what to expect from their favourites. However, if they continue to show the effort, endeavour and no little skill as was on display against East Fife then they will have few complaints, whatever the results. Team lines for this afternoon’s game saw Stirling make five changes from midweek as Jocky restored his best available XI. Missing from the East Fife game was the injured Daly McSorley. This meant John Crawley retained his place from Tuesday night.
