
The final quarter of the season hasn’t gone quite to plan for the Beanos with only one point gathered from the last three matches. Results elsewhere meant that before kick off today the Albion sat a point adrift at the foot of the table. If Greig McDonald and his charges harboured serious ambitions of avoiding both automatic relegation and the play-offs then it was time to convince the rest of us. This afternoon’s opponents Airdrie came into the match on an excellent run of form and a win could take them into the promotion play-off spots. The sides have met four times this season to date with Airdrie winning three with ease while our only positive result against them came in a 1-1 draw at the Excelsior Stadium.
