
As usual with midweek matches lets get straight to it. Team lines for Stirling showed two changes from Saturday as Shaun Dillon missed out through injury while Darren Smith missed out through being dropped to the bench. Into the side came the fit again Shaun Fagan as well as Craig McLeish. The match kicked off with Stirling shooting towards the Monument end of the ground. With a strong wind and driving rain at their backs the Beanos would have fancied pushing Cowdenbeath back in the early stages but it was the league leaders who started the better. A long range strike from on-loan Killie midfielder Gary Fisher was easily gathered by Callum Reidford. Reidford was a spectator moments later as a snap volley from Derek “Tanman” Lyle flew just wide of the Albion keeper’s right hand post.
