
From looking to be on the end of a possible thrashing at Peterhead the Beanos showed a rare streak of fighting spirit to earn our first away point last Saturday. No league action this weekend and instead the chance to build on that result came against Highland League Deveronvale in Round 3 of the William Hill Scottish Cup. The teams met in the Ramsdens last season when the Beanos won 3-1 up in Banff on what must have been the coldest July day on record. Since that encounter Stirling have been relegated to Division Three and currently we sit bottom of that league. The Vale on the other hand continue to be one of the leading lights of the HFL and are once again in contention for league honours.
