Following the frustrating loss at home to East Fife the Beanos were quickly back in action this evening as they headed North to take on Forfar Athletic. RedWeb was not in attendance at this match and so all we have from the game is a brief match summary. Team lines from Station Park:

Stirling Albion: 1. Callum Reidford, 2. Shaun Fagan, 3. Devon Jacobs, 4. Marc McCulloch, 5. Gary Thom, 6. Shaun Dillon, 7. Darren Smith, 8. Mark Ferry, 9. Craig McLeish, 10. Scott Davidson, 11. Alan Cook – Subs: Daly McSorley on for 2, Josh Flood on for 11, Lewis Bonar on for 7, Brian Allison (Unused), Jamie Clelland (GK)

Forfar Athletic: 1. Marc McCallum 2. Greg Ross, 3. Mark McCulloch, 4. Michael Bolochoweckyj, 5. Joe Shaughnessy, 6. Chris Hegarty, 7. Ross Campbell, 8. Nicky Low, 9. Chris Templeman, 10. Bradley Coyne, 11. Dale Hilson – Subs: Wilson, Tulloch, Byers, Motion, Greg Paterson (GK)

Stirling seem to have made a decent start but gradually the home side got on top. The opening goal was scored on 20 minutes by Bradley Coyne. Bradley is the son of Tommy and was recently released by St Mirren. This was how it remained at the break. Second half began with Stirling having a couple of close things but our final third frailties were in evidence again. The Loons doubled their lead on the hour when that man Coyne got on the end of a Templeman centre to poke home.

Stirling grabbed a lifeline on 78 minutes when Daly McSorley netted from close range. Was the comeback on ? Yes, is the answer. With just two minutes remaining Scott Davidson volleyed in from seven yards out. A late clearance off the Albion line kept things level and that’s the way it remained as the ref blew for time.

Next up for Stirling is a another away trip, but this time a shorter one as we make the 20 minute trip over to North Lanarkshire to tackle Airdrie United on the plastic pitch of the Excelsior Stadium. RedWeb’s full match report and pictures service will be back in action this weekend.
