After the last gasp comeback at Central Park the Beanos headed to Glebe Park knowing a point against Brechin would almost certainly win the Division Two title. With Alloa a long way behind on goal difference the only way a draw wouldn’t be enough was if the Wasps somehow managed to beat Cowdenbeath by eight or nine goals. This was never going to happen so a point would be enough. However, clinging on for a point wouldn’t be good for the nerves and so hopefully Allan Moore’s men might go gently on their big travelling support. This is the Beanos though and if there is a hard way to do something we’ll find it so a tense afternoon was always on the cards.
