David Mckenna Misses Cost Albion Dear
Stirling took a break from their league struggles this afternoon as the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup came to Forthbank. The visitors were first division Partick Thistle who of course gave Rangers a tough battle in last years competition before bowing out in a replay. All form lines pointed to a routine win for the full-time side but surely Allan Moore's Stirling team would raise their game and at least make Thistle fight for their win. As it turned out Partick did have to fight for their 4th round ticket but Stirling will be ruing a string of missed chances which denied them at least a replay.

First half was not an untypical opening period for the Forthbank faithful as Stirling struggled to get going. By the time the ref rattled his pea for the break the Beanos were two down and looking out of it. However, a much improved home display after the the break saw Stirling pin the visitors back for long spells. With Partick on the ropes Stirling just couldn't apply the knock out punch as a string of excellent chances came and went. Goals from midfielders Craig Molloy and Paul Murphy kept it close but one too many misses from the otherwise excellent David McKenna meant we were out of the cup.

Stirling were in action this afternoon at Balmoor Stadium against Peterhead. No report today as I couldn't be gassed going so instead we just have the team lines and goalscorers from the 1-1 draw.

Time To Go Allan !!
Despite the late drama at the Recs the Albion fans still left the ground cursing yet another hopeless performance from their team. With pressure continuing to mount on ailing manager Allan Moore the Beanos really needed to get it together at home to Arbroath at Forthbank Stadium this afternoon. The Angus club hadn't won a league game since the first day of the season and for them to get a three pointer at Forthbank simply wasn't an option Allan Moore could afford to entertain.

Not for the first team this season a truly miserable opening half saw the team leave the field to a chorus of muted jeers. As at the Recs last weekend the Albion made a dreadful start to the second period and were quickly two goals adrift. The home fans watched on in disbelief as their favourites stumbled around like a pub team and at no point was a comeback a serious possibility. A shocker from first minute till last and surely if Moore has any respect for himself and the club he will call it a day. He's done a decent job for Stirling but those days are distant memories and it's time for a change.
